More About Playing the Game

In the game, 2 random categories are presented, along with an item from the first category. Players then try to come up with an item from the second category whose word contains a matching sequence of letters anywhere within.

Example:
CAR is an item from the Category “Transportation” and CARROT is an item from the category “Vegetables.” Just like the items in our logo, CAR and CARROT share Common Ground. (C+A+R) are 3 letters in sequence found in both CAR and CARROT. 3 matching letters in sequence scores 3 points.

If the “Transportation” category item provided was TRAIN, a 2-point response for an item in the “Vegetables” category might be RADISH (R+A) = 2 points

If the “Transportation” category item was AIRPLANE, a 4-point response in the “Vegetables” category might be EGGPLANT (P+L+A+N) = 4 points

2-point responses are easy. The 3-pointers and beyond will challenge your brain!
